LIVE @ NUBLU was recorded at the NYC album release for WRENS November 2025 LP Half of What You See. Half of What You See ranked number 5 on the ‘25 Best Rap Albums of 2025’ by Paste Magazine, and ‘10 Albums You Should Listen To Now’ in Pitchfork who said “Like electric Miles or Ornette Coleman’s flirtations with post-punk, WRENS’ electroacoustic jazz-rap is messy and sincere, unafraid to carve out new paths.” WRENS live is an experience unlike any other in modern creative jazz or hip hop.

Queen’s Ledger on LIVE @ NUBLU: “Performing songs off their album, Half of What You See, the Brooklyn quartet blasted a jazz-rap-noise-punk hybrid that that may very well be of its own kind. This is a group, like TV On the Radio about 20 years prior, that steps on a scene and not only mixes genres but stretches them to their limits. The band’s musicianship is so deft, however, that all of their songs emerge fluidly.”

“Dense, chaotic, and thrilling, with electroacoustic abstraction grounded by casual humor and intentional collaboration.” —Pitchfork

“What makes the album stick is how unpretentious it all feels; the experimentation is all evidently grounded in pure love of the game.” —Paste Magazine

“A bold outlier that simultaneously extends the long tradition of jazz with poetry while proposing a wildly experimental strain of mutant hiphop.” —The Wire

“Wrens lay down challenges in music, beats and rhymes, to be taken up or left alone, but rising to listen is the only path toward reward.” —JazzTimes ‘Top November Releases’
