OUT NOW Christopher Hoffman - Vision Is The Identity (OOYH 026)

ANNOUNCING OOYH 026 (out March 22): We're super pumped to put up pre-order for Vision Is The Identity by cellist Christopher Hoffman, both digital + LP. In a lot of ways this is the follow up to his 2021 album on OOYH Asp Nimbus, but in most ways this is a completely different direction (avant jazz beats with raging solos!). The core trio is Chris on cello, drum programming, and synth with Frank LoCrasto on keyboards and Bill Campbell on live drums. But the guest lineup on this one is totally insane (as is the improvising), with a track each featuring Henry Threadgill, Anna Webber, Alfredo Colon, and Ryan Scott. What!? Incredible art + design by TJ Huff (huffart.com), and there are some really nice threads connecting this to the design of Asp Nimbus. We have some super limited merch items coming soon as well that focus on the original art for the album.
